The painting is on a stretched canvas, painted round the sides, with string on the back, so it is ready to hang as it is or can be framed if you prefer.

I've visited Cornwall many times, but I'm always amazed by the beautiful colours of the coast. We visited Boat Cove on a day when the light was bright and the colours were really glowing. I'm interested by contrasts so I've experimented with painting this in grey and white, then putting a splash of vibrant colour through the middle. I wanted the contrast to make the colour look even more important.
