Acrylic on canvas, 16x12"
The painting is on a stretched canvas, painted round the sides, with string on the back, so it is ready to hang as it is or can be framed if you prefer.
Our family loves visiting Cornwall. Part of its charm are the small traditional fishing villages. When we were there in October 2013 we were lucky enough to watch a fishing boat returning from a trip. It struck me that in years to come, this might become a rare sight, as overfishing by big industrial operations makes it difficult for traditional fishermen to survive. It felt important to appreciate it while we still have it, and painting things is my way of focussing on them and celebrating them.
