Acrylic on canvas, 12x16"

It was a day when I couldn't feel any spark of life and I was waiting for something to liven up my thoughts.  I waited and waited, then near the end of the day, I glanced out of my bedroom window and saw the colour of roses that were opening just outside the window, which I had never noticed before.  I immediately felt excited because I knew I had to paint them and would love painting them.  I've tried to paint them as through they are shining a light through the darkness of my mood.
