The painting is on a stretched canvas, painted round the sides, with string on the back, so it is ready to hang as it is or can be framed if you prefer.

I started this painting outside. The weather was very hot and the light was bright, making the colours and contrasts intense. When I came to finish the painting at home I just didn't feel the same excitement about it that I felt outside. I changed the style of it to look more like a Van Gogh painting because I love that style and it gave me more enthusiasm. I found that this style did express more of how I felt when I was actually there than if I had just painted it 'straight'.
