The painting is on a stretched canvas, painted round the sides, with a string on the back, so it is ready to hang as it is, or can be framed if you prefer.

When the nights are cold it feels nice to light a fire, just have the fire and the soft glow of an oil lamp for light, and drink a good red wine. If everyone is still and quiet it is even better. Just the crackle of the fire, and the sounds of the weather outside. I wanted to recreate the warm colours and the feeling of stillness in a painting.
