Scottish burn landscape painting
Acrylic on canvas, 12x16"
We were exploring the north end of the Scottish Isle of Arran and when we walked round a corner and saw this view my husband said, "I want a painting of that". He wanted it to look as close to the reality as possible with no impressionism. I don't know whether I was imagining it, but the colours of the season seemed more intense on the Scottish isles than in the rest of the UK that I have seen. I didn't really feel the need for impressionism to exaggerate them in this painting.
