Acrylic on canvas, 16x20"

I love Welsh landscapes, and on a recent trip, found the Elan Valley area quite attractive. The forests and streams are beautiful, but even more so when the lighting is dramatic. It was fortunate that I was able to capture a few moments of wonderful lighting in some photographs, which I later used to paint this picture. Some of the canvas is painted smoothly, and some texture is added for the parts which are further forward.
