I did a similar painting to this, in 'realistic' colours, but wanted to see what it would look like in just blue and brown. I also like looking at how two colours next to each other affect how each other look. The colours seem to change the mood of the scene. This one seems to have a cooler, more wintery, and mysterious mood.
